My time in Arizona is winding down.  I'll be sad to leave this place where I've made so many friends, but I'm also happy to return home to the mountains of Colorado where the deer are waiting for me. 

My final concert is this month with the park's choir, Vista Voices.  I really enjoy the opportunity to sing challenging, mixed voices music again as I don't really have a chance to back home.  Along with all the finals are the follow-up parties to every event.  So far, I've been to the line dancing potluck and Entertainers dinner with the Rattlers potluck, hand bells party and Vista Voices dinner still to come.

While playing, I'm also working on getting ready for the Pikes Peak Writers Conference in late April.  I handle the faculty for it and there's always a lot to do.  But we're getting there.

Weather here is finally warming up.  It's been a chilly winter for this area (mostly 50s) but we should see the 80s by next week.  Just in time to leave, right?  I'm looking forward to seeing the cougar on the Superstition Mountains soon if the weather and sun cooperate.  It only appears twice a year in mid-March and mid-September.

I hope you're staying safe and warm wherever you may be.  I know many states have been blasted with snow and cold this year.  Of course, that's a good opportunity to snuggle under a blanket and read. :-)
